Buford Gears Up for Annual Holiday Festival and Parade on Saturday

Email :

BUFORD — Downtown Buford is set to welcome thousands of visitors on Saturday, Dec. 6, as the community prepares for the 2025 Buford Holiday Festival and Parade, one of the city’s most anticipated annual traditions.

Presented by the Buford Business Alliance in partnership with the City of Buford, the full-day celebration will feature a festive morning parade followed by a holiday market, entertainment, food vendors and family-friendly activities throughout the afternoon.

The Holiday Parade will begin at 9 a.m., starting at Tannery Row and traveling along historic Main Street before ending at South Hill Street. More than 60 parade entries are expected, each competing for the title of Buford’s Most Festive. Floats, decorated vehicles, community groups, and local performers will take part.

Leading the parade this year is Grand Marshal Paige Ewing, Mrs. America 2025. Ewing, a Buford resident, is a grief coach, photographer, and community volunteer who earned her national crown in Las Vegas this past August. She will go on to represent the United States at the Mrs. World pageant in early 2026.

Saturday’s parade will also feature local law enforcement vehicles and three marching bands, including the Buford Band of Wolves, Seckinger High School, and Midtown High School from Atlanta, the latter two making their first appearance in the event. Santa Claus will close the parade with a special visit.

The Buford Holiday Festival will open immediately afterward at 10 a.m., stretching from South Hill Street to Wilson Street and throughout the Buford Amphitheater Park at 301 East Main Street. More than 90 vendors will offer holiday gifts, treats, and handcrafted items. Food trucks serving seasonal favorites will line the festival area, and live performances will take place on the main stage throughout the day.

Children can enjoy a free Kids’ Zone featuring a bounce house and games, while pet owners are invited to join the Paws & Claus Holiday Dog Costume Contest, where judges will name the Most Festive Pup in Buford. Families may also take free photos with Santa.

Proceeds from the festival and parade will benefit the Buford Business Alliance’s Giving Back initiative, which provides scholarships for local high school seniors and supports families in need.

With clear skies forecast and a full schedule planned, organizers say the event offers an opportunity for the community to gather and celebrate the start of the holiday season.
