GWINNETT COUNTY — As cold weather settles into metro Atlanta, Gwinnett County will open warming stations to provide residents with temporary overnight relief from the freezing temperatures expected Monday, Nov. 10, and Tuesday, Nov. 11.
The stations will open when temperatures reach 35 degrees or below, offering a safe place for residents to warm up, enjoy a meal, and get some rest. Each location will operate from 6 p.m. until 7 a.m. the following morning.
Residents are encouraged to take advantage of the warming stations if they need shelter from the cold. County officials also urge residents to check on neighbors, the elderly, and those without adequate heating as the temperatures fall.
Transportation to and from each site is available through Ride Gwinnett, which offers bus and microtransit service across the county. Real-time bus tracking, route maps, and microtransit details can be found at RideGwinnett.com.
