The Suwanee Youth Leaders program is a 10-month long leadership program open to high school students who reside in the Collins Hill, North Gwinnett and Peachtree Ridge clusters, as well as homeschooled students and those who attend private schools within one of the three clusters.

According to the city’s website, the program is designed to “empower young leaders to connect inside the community and make an impact outside the classroom.”

Students who are accepted into the program attend monthly learning sessions in the form of city meetings and SYL meetings, participate in a two-day retreat, learn from guest speakers, attend periodic field trips and participate in several hands-on projects, including event planning and a community service initiative.
