$2 Tuesdays — “The Help”         

The Eagle Theatre will present the film “The Help” as part of its $2 Tuesdays film series at 10:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 8. The Eagle Theatre is at 5029 W. Broad St. in Sugar Hill. Suwanee Sweetheart Sprint       

The Rotary Club of Buford/North Gwinnett will host the 11th annual Suwanee Sweetheart Sprint 5K and Fun Run beginning at 9 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 12, at Suwanee Town Center Park, 330 Town Center Ave. The race is a Peachtree Road Race qualifier, and proceeds support Rotary Club of Buford/North Gwinnett scholarships and other charities. Suwanee Half Marathon and Old Town 5k      

The eighth annual Suwanee Half Marathon and Old Town 5K presented by Performance Race Services and the City of Suwanee will begin at 7:30 a.m. on Sunday, Feb. 20, at Suwanee Town Center Park, 330 Town Center Ave.  The races benefit the Suwanee Public Arts program. Art-Tiques Winter Market

ONGOING EVENTS

“Abundant Realms” 

The art exhibition “Abundant Realms,” featuring drawings by Suwanee artist Paige Short, will be on display through Friday, Feb. 18, at the Sugar Hill Art Gallery at the Broadstone at 5010 W. Broad St. in Sugar Hill. Gallery hours are typically 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday and noon to 6 p.m. Sundays. As the gallery is run primarily by volunteers, call 678-541-6125 to ensure the gallery is open prior to visiting. 

License to Chill Snow Island at Margaritaville at Lanier Islands  

License to Chill Snow Island will be open through Sunday, Feb. 27, on select dates. The attraction includes snow tubing, an ice skating rink, carnival rides and more. For times, dates and ticket prices, visit margaritavilleresorts.com.

Live music 

Everett’s Music Barn is open every Saturday night presenting live music and hosting jam sessions. Doors open at 6, followed by the show at 8 p.m. Donations are appreciated. The venue is at 4055 Stonecypher Road in Suwanee. For more information, visit everettsmusicbarn.net. 

Suwanee Winter Farmers Market

Braselton Farmers Market       

A monthly farmers market will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. the third Friday of the month in January and February on the patio next to the Braselton Town Green on Davis Street. For more information, follow the farmers market on Facebook @BraseltonFarmersMarket.  

Buford History Museum
