Macy Dale, a 2022 graduate of Buford High School, recently completed Air Force Basic Military Training at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas.

“I wanted a sense of purpose,” Dale said of her decision to enlist in the Air Force, “to be a part of something bigger than myself.”

Dale describes her experience in basic military training as unforgettable.

“I got the amazing opportunity to make unbreakable bonds and friendships, while being put through challenges very few people can handle,” she said. “It was the most fun I never want to have again!”

On her experience as a student at BHS, Dale said, “Buford always pushes their students to be the very best they can be. Ever since 1st grade, I was influenced and inspired to do what I love and do it to my fullest potential.”

Dale, who is in the Air Force’s Security Forces, said she will be stationed in Turkey in just a few month’s time. Her plans for her military career are open.

“I’m just letting life take me where I need to be,” she said.

Dale is the daughter of Flowery Branch resident Connie Dale and Dacula resident Geoff Dale.
