A Buford woman was involved in a physical altercation in the parking lot of the Buford Walmart located on Sardis Church Road Saturday night.
According to the victim, while shopping she ran into a male friend at which time she agreed to meet him in the parking lot to ‘catch up’ after she completed checking out. After pulling her vehicle next to his, she noticed a woman passenger in his car. The woman, a friend of the victim, immediately exited the vehicle and approached the victim shouting at her, accusing her of having an affair with a mutual friend.
The victim stated that the suspect reached into the car window and began to pull her hair and hit her in the face with a closed fist. At that time, the victim reported that she broke free from the suspect and exited her vehicle where the two women continued to physically fight until a bystander broke them apart. The victim stated that she was fighting in self defense.
The victim received medical attention for injuries sustained in the fight.
