Recycling

Area residents can now recycle glass at a drop-off location at E. E. Robinson Park in Sugar Hill.

The drop-off location, located inside the baseball/softball complex entrance, is the result of a partnership between Gwinnett Clean & Beautiful and Gwinnett County and Waste Pro USA and Waste Management. The park is one of several drop-off locations throughout the county.

Clean, empty glass containers are accepted, including all colors of food and beverage bottles, as well as jars. Labels do not need to be removed, and broken glass is accepted.

Drop-off hours are from sunrise until 11 p.m. unless posted otherwise.

Glass recycled at E. E. Robinson Park will be transported to Strategic Materials in College Park, the largest glass recycler in the country. According to Strategic Materials, glass takes one million years to fully degrade in a landfill.
