On Thursday afternoon, River Wilson, a 6-foot, 270-pound defensive lineman for the Buford Wolves varsity football team announced via Twitter that he has verbally committed to play football in the fall of 2022 for the U.S. Naval Academy.

Wilson helped his team to win back-to-back state championships.  The rising senior had a productive junior year amassing 33 tackles, six for losses, six quarterback pressures and a sack.
