Gwinnett Parks & Rec – Water

LAWRENCEVILLE — Earlier this week, the Gwinnett County Parks and Recreation Department announced that it would offer residents a chance to enjoy their indoor and outdoor pools until the end of September.  The pools at Bethesda Park, Bogan Park, Collins Hill Park, Mountain Park, West Gwinnett Park Aquatic Centers, Best Friend Park, and Rhodes Jordan Park offer residents with a variety of amenities including lifeguards on duty, disability accessible, lazy rivers, water play structures and slides, zero-depth entry, and more.

Patrons can reserve three-hour time slots from 11 a.m to 2 p.m. or 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays.  In addition to those opportunities, family swim nights will also be offered for reservations from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Mondays at West Gwinnett Park Aquatic Center, Tuesdays at Mountain Park Aquatic Center and Thursdays at Collins Hill Park Aquatic Center.

Reservations must be made at least a day in advance to when one wishes to go.  Reservations will be accepted through September 27, 2020, and can be made by calling the facility or visiting the website.

Gwinnett residents will be charged a $4.25 fee per person to enter the facility while non-residents will have to pay $8.50 per person for use of the pool and facilities.  Those who are 18 and over must prove their residency in order to avoid paying the non-resident price.

Patrons who wish to use these facilities will have to have their temperatures checked before being allowed to go inside.  Everyone is expected to practice social distancing per the CDC guidelines.  Visitors are asked to shower at home, bring their own life jackets, lawn chairs, and pool noodles.  Lockers are currently unavailable so patrons will be required to keep their belongings with them on the pool deck.

If free is more your thing, the splash pads at E.E. Robinson Park and Graves Park are open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily and from noon to 8 p.m. on Wednesdays.  Social distancing is expected at these locations as well.

Visit GwinnettParks.com for more information, including online reservations and facility addresses and phone numbers, as well as interactive fountain and leisure play pool rules.
