Garden

April is National Garden Month, and the Gwinnett County Public Library will host its annual Garden Fest, a four-day celebration of gardening and related activities and interests.

Now in its fourth year, Garden Fest 2023 will be held from noon to 6 p.m. Monday through Thursday, April 10 to 13, at the Grayson library branch. Various events and activities are planned throughout each day, with topics ranging from indoor moss gardens to tower gardens, daffodils to orchids and native plants to seasonal vegetables. Additional garden-themed programming will feature topics such as birding, composting, beekeeping and more.

Returning for this year’s Garden Fest are Live Healthy Gwinnett with its subsidiaries Harvest Gwinnett and Be Active Gwinnett, master gardener Carol Hassell with Georgia Piedmont Land Trust and Linda Rivers of Lions Creek Farmaceuticals.

New speakers for this year’s Garden Fest include Angela Willbanks of Sunnie’s Bees, master gardener Susan Hendricks with Gwinnett Extension Services and master gardener and founder of Daffodils4Hope Marilyn Davis.

Additional guest speakers include master gardeners Tim Ledford, Abby Lockhart, Amy Mock and Lisa Klein, as well as Gwinnett County Public Library staff members.
