Mailbox

The Gwinnett County Public Library is offering a special program through which library books can be delivered to patrons’ homes.

The Mailbox Books service allows Gwinnett County residents who are unable to visit a library branch due to age, physical disability, chronic illness or visual impairment — as well as those who experience temporary conditions that results in being homebound — access to library materials, including regular print books, large print books, DVDs and books on CD.

Patrons who register for the Mailbox Books service will be able to select materials they’d like to receive or allow staff access to record the materials they borrow to determine their reading preferences.

Through Mailbox Books, library materials can be checked out for 42 days and may be renewed without additional fees. Program participants are also able to rate items and speak directly with staff members who will assist in finding materials to suit patrons’ interests.
