Volunteer Gwinnett has offered a huge round of applause for the exceptional participation in Gwinnett Great Days of Service — which has mobilized thousands of volunteers in Gwinnett County for over 20 years — in 2023. And they are challenging the community to keep up the momentum in 2024.

In this year’s celebration of volunteerism, 420 volunteers donated thousands of hours of service in honor of the event between Oct. 20 and Oct. 22 — which encompassed 77 projects.

Impacted causes included:

  • .Food security
  • Environmental action
  • Clothing assistance

Additionally, in partnership with the Gwinnett County Public School Foundation, they facilitated food security services and personal care drives targeting 12 Gwinnett County public schools through six extended partner organizations. 12,689 students, faculty, and staff participated in these efforts.

Upcoming opportunities with Volunteer Gwinnett:

  • Assist at a local Warming Station
  • Food security programs
  • MLK Day of Service
  • Help chip holiday trees to unclog landfills
  • Foster a pet
