A large part of the Girl Scouts of America’s program is centered around giving back to the community.  The Hamilton Mill Service Unit of the Girl Scouts of Greater Atlanta has been busy on giving back. The Hamilton Mill Service Unit lead by Tammy Teeters and Dana Shackleford decided to use the money they raised from last year’s cookie sales to benefit the Salvation Army Angel Tree at Mall of Georgia.

“The troops (of the Hamilton Mill Service Unit) donated more than ten bikes to help fill the Christmas dreams of needy families in our area,” says Bridgette McNeal, Troop Development Coordinate for the Hamilton Mill Service Unit.

The troops were able to take the bikes to the donation collection area for the Salvation Army Angel Tree at the Mall of Georgia on Friday, December 8th.

Thanks to the efforts of these young ladies, over ten local children will have a wonderful Christmas morning.  The community applauds the kindness and hard work displayed by the troops from the Hamilton Mill Service Unit.
