A reward up to $10,000 is being offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or individuals responsible for a recent series of incidents involving Molotov cocktails.

Five incidents have been reported from June 28 through July 25 in the area from Sugarloaf Parkway and Five Forks Trickum Road SW to Oak Road SW in unincorporated Gwinnett County. According to fire investigators, the fires have primarily involved grass and pine straw beds near the roadway or parking lot. Each incident involved an improvised incendiary device, or Molotov cocktail, containing a flammable liquid.

“So far there has not been any damage to buildings or vehicles and no injuries have been reported,” a news release states.

Specific information, including the location of each incident, is not being released as the investigation is ongoing.

Anyone with information regarding these incidents is asked to call the Gwinnett County Fire Investigations Section at 678-518-4890 or the Georgia Arson Control Hotline at 1-800-282-5804. Georgia Arson Control offers a reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of individuals responsible for arson.
