The chills of December brings forth the biggest celebration known to students: finals season. With exams approaching, the North Gwinnett Chamber Orchestra and the Chorus partnered to celebrate a Holiday Concert for its students at the Presbyterian Church on Tuesday, December 12th.

The North Gwinnett Choral Department presented the concert alongside Director Brianna Greer, Accompanist Kathy Gonsalves, and Principle Nathan Ballantine.

In honor of celebrating the true meaning of the holidays, the group performed holiday classics such as the “Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy” and “A Winter Wonderland” as an Ensemble. Each performance brought a wave of nostalgia as the sounds of the strings and voices echoed through the halls of the church.

The Orchestra played alongside La Belle Musique, the Men’s Chorus and the Chorale and Camerata Women each doing a fantastic job with the energy of each performance.

In the beautiful Christmas song, “Mary, Did You Know?” students Nate Keller, Tyler Lavender, and Jessica Matos were the soloists in the performance who blew the audience away with the high strung vocals and power in each performance. Soloist Charlotte Howard gave the audience chills with her performance in “Tundra” as well.

To end the beautiful night filled with much celebration and warmth from the majestic instruments and the talented singers was a Holiday Sing Along to “Hallelujah” with the North Gwinnett Chorus.
