Oy Restaurant Inspection

BUFORD — A local Buford restaurant failed their most recent health inspection that was conducted by the Gwinnett County Health Department.

In a health inspection report dated Sept. 18, 2020, Oy Restaurant located at 4108 Hamilton Mill Rd., Suites 320 and 330 in Buford scored a 61 U.

The restaurant had a wide range of things that they were cited for non-compliance with.  The restaurant had frozen raw chicken thawing in the vegetable prep sink which is not one of the safe methods of thawing raw meat.  Thawing raw meat in the vegetable prep sink could also cause cross-contamination. They were cited for multiple items not being stored at the correct temperature.  The inspector found Raid fly strips hanging with flies stuck to them hanging over food prep areas.

The restaurant will receive a follow-up visit from the inspector by Sept. 28, 2020, to make sure the restaurant has corrected all of the violations found on this visit.
