Buford hosted fellow Region 8-AAAAAA opponent Winder-Barrow on Tuesday, Sept. 7 at the Buford Softball Complex. Even a rain delay could not dampen Buford’s bats as they beat Winder-Barrow 10-2.  The game was called after the fifth inning due to the run rule.

Sophomore Emma Grace Williams (4-0) was the winning pitcher for the Lady Wolves. She pitched five innings, gave up five hits and two earned runs. Plus she struck out three batters but walked one.

Offensive standouts for Buford were junior Olivia Duncan (3-for-3, double, two RBIs and one run), senior Olivia Haag (2-for-3, two-run home run, two RBIs and one run), sophomore Adriana Martinez (1-for-2, sac fly, two RBIs and one run) and sophomore Mackenzie Pickens (1-for-2, double, sac fly, one RBI and one run).

Buford record is now 9-1-1 and 3-1 in Region 8-AAAAAA.
