Maxwell (1)

This edition’s featured Reader of the Week is Maxwell Charepoo.

Maxwell is in the fourth grade at Buford Senior Academy. His favorite author is J. K. Rowling.

“I chose J. K. Rowling because she gives her readers the exact information that they crave,” he said, “and she gives descriptions of every character that she brings into the Harry Potter universe.”

A self-described bookworm, Maxwell says he loves to play tennis and with LEGOs. He shared that he lives at home with his two loving parents and awesome brother Paul who, Maxwell says, “brings joy into my day by playing with me and me also playing with him.”

“Maxwell has a passion and joy for reading, which makes being his ELA teacher an absolute delight,” said Mrs. Kerry Moon. “He is such a hardworking student, and he always challenges himself to learn more. Maxwell is one exceptional young man!”

“I chose Maxwell because he is such an avid reader,” said BSA Media Specialist Emily Stewart. “He has read over a million words so far this school year, and he is just an absolutely delightful, kind, respectful student.”

The Buford City Schools Reader of the Week spotlight is made possible by the generosity of Peoples Bank & Trust, 1899 Buford Highway, Buford GA 30518, (770) 932-1900.
