Meet Joshua Tillman, is a fourth-grader at Buford Senior Academy.  His teachers are Ms. Austin and Ms. Harris. Joshua has been selected as the Buford Senior Academy Reader of the Week.  BSA Media Specialist, Sara Blankenship says, “Joshua is a great student! He works hard and really loves reading.”  She adds, “He is one of the Million Word Club members and has read some fantastic books this school year!”

“Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows” by J.K. Rowling is Joshua’s favorite book, after all, mystery is his favorite genre of books to read. When asked why this book is his favorite, Joshua replies, “It is a very exciting and challenging book for me, and I thought that it was a very detailed good book.”  

In fact, this book’s author just happens to be his favorite author. “J.K. Rowling is my favorite author because she wrote the Harry Potter book series and it was full of excitement throughout the series,” claims Joshua. 

When Joshua is not busy, he likes to spend time and eat ice cream with his family which consists of his mom and dad, two brothers and a pet dog. Even though he really loves to stay at home and relax, he also enjoys playing basketball and football in his free time.

The media specialists at the Buford Senior Academy and Buford Academy select the Buford City Schools Reader of the Week.  Buford students grades first through fifth have a chance at being named the Reader of the Week. In addition to appearing online and in print, the Reader of the Week receives a voucher to Stars and Strikes for all of their hard work.
