Eva Her loves to read anything about sports, and this Reader of the Week could be described as a sports fanatic — she plays lacrosse, tennis, golf, basketball and soccer. Lacrosse is her favorite sport to play.

Eva is a second grade student at Buford Academy, where her teachers are Ms. Goodrich and Ms. Hunsucker, who shared something people might not know about Eva — she is a fantastic singer!

Eva, who speaks Hmong, is the daughter of Rachel and Shue Her, and she has a twin sister, Anna, and three older brothers. She loves going out on her family’s houseboat on Lake Lanier, where she enjoys riding jet skis. She also loves to listen to music.

“Eva is just one of the coolest kids you could ever meet,” said Lana Nix, media specialist at Buford Academy. “Great personality and always smiling and friendly to all.”

The media specialists at the Buford Senior Academy and Buford Academy select the Buford City Schools Reader of the Week.  Buford students grades first through fifth have a chance at being named the Reader of the Week. In addition to appearing online and in print, the Reader of the Week receives a voucher to Stars and Strikes for all of their hard work.

The Buford City Schools Reader of the Week spotlight is made possible by the generosity of Peoples Bank & Trust, 1899 Buford Highway, Buford GA 30518, (770) 932-1900.
