Pervis

Second grader Bryson Pervis has reached a reading milestone — he recently joined the 100 Point Club, having achieved his goal of 100 accelerated reader points for this school year. His accomplishment has earned Bryson the honor of Reader of the Week.

“We are very proud of Bryson and know that he has worked extremely hard to get to this point,” said Lana Nix, media specialist at Buford Academy.

“Bryson is an amazing reader,” added Mrs. Botham, Bryson’s teacher. “He loves to read nonfiction books and share learned facts with his friends. He also enjoys the challenge of reading chapter books.”

Bryson’s favorite author is Dan Gutman, who writes the “My Weird School Daze” series.

“He likes this series because the books are very funny and make him laugh,” Nix said.

Bryson’s favorite book in the series is “Mr. Tony is Full of Baloney!”

Bryson’s parents are Adam and Jayme. He has a 10-year-old brother, Brody, a third grader at Buford Academy, and a 5-year-old brother named Blaze. Bryson has two dogs, Jo-Jo and Daisy.

An athlete, Bryson loves to play basketball, football and baseball. He is currently playing travel ball with the Dingers.

Congratulations, Bryson, and keep on reading!
