The Wolves soccer team beat Winder-Barrow’s boys in a dominant 4-0 away victory on Friday, March 18.

Buford came out strong and netted two goals in the first half, one scored by Juan Borrego assisted by Nathan Montini, and the second coming off an assist by Jefry Lopez, which allowed Lucas Stevenson to find the back of the net.

In the second half, Winder-Barrow was unable to respond, and Buford’s Masdon Mandall scored a third unassisted goal before a final own goal against the Bulldoggs brought the final score to 4-0.

This marks the Wolves’ fifth shutout of the season in which they now hold a record of 8-5-1.

Their 5-4 region record also means the Buford boys are well on their way to qualifying for the state playoffs, which they were unable to do last year.
