On Sunday, December 15, 2019, Post 127 held a Christmas Community dinner.

The American Legion Post 127 believes in giving back to their community.  They do so in various ways throughout the year. Perhaps their largest endeavor comes at Christmas-time.

On Sunday, December 15, 2019, Post 127 held a Christmas Community dinner.  Several hundred people showed up to enjoy the post’s hospitality. To the delight of approximately 120 children, Santa visited during this time and brought the children each a new toy.  The children’s smiles and delight lit up the post. Plates and plates of Christmas food were consumed by young and old alike. Members of the community left the American Legion this day happy, festive, and full.

Members of the post will pass out approximately 400 bags of fruit to members of the community.

On Saturday, December 21, members of the post will pass out approximately 400 bags of fruit to members of the community.  They gave them to low income residents, elderly at local retirement and nursing homes, and others in Buford, Sugar Hill, and Flowery Branch areas.

Thanks to the members of American Legion Post 127, the Ladies’ Auxiliary, the Legion Riders, and the Sons of the Legion for their hard work and dedication to giving back to the community.  Their efforts, no doubt, brightened the holidays for many.
