2021 MIss BMS Top 12

Buford Middle School presented its Miss BMS Pageant on Thursday, Nov. 18, at the Buford High School Performing Arts Center. A fundraiser for the eighth grade, the event raised approximately $7,500 after expenses. Thirty-nine contestants, the most in the recent history of the pageant, graced the stage in formal attire to be judged on poise, grace and natural beauty.

“One of the best things about this year’s pageant was witnessing several young ladies step out of their comfort zones and try something new,” said pageant sponsor Katie Duncan. “It was rewarding for all of us to be a part of their experience, and we are so proud of them.”

The winners were:

  • Miss Buford Middle 2021: Ansleigh Rose, seventh grade
  • 1st runner up: Charley Martin, sixth grade
  • 2nd runner up: Arlette Galicia, sixth grade
  • 3rd runner up: Halle Roy, eighth grade
  • 4th runner up: Averi Sok, seventh grade

Additional pageant awards were presented to:

“The eighth grade team is excited about how the proceeds of this fundraiser will be given directly back to our students by purchasing books and materials to enhance the learning opportunities in our classrooms,” Duncan said.

The new Miss BMS will have the opportunity to ride in the upcoming Buford Business Alliance Christmas Parade on Saturday, Dec. 4.
