HALL COUNTY — The Hall County Sheriff’s Office announced that William David Bagwell, age 33 of Oakwood will face additional charges for his online conduct with juveniles.

Bagwell was a teacher at West Hall Middle School at the time of his arrest on Thursday, September 26.  He was initially charged with electronically furnishing obscene material to a minor, a misdemeanor. Bagwell sent a 14-year old female victim a photo of his genitals via social media.  He has since been charged with sexual assault against a student which is a felony.

After investigating Bagwell further, a second victim has been found. He sent a message to a 15-year old female describing sexually explicit conduct.  Bagwell is also charged with felony obscene internet contact with a child.

Both incidents occurred between July 1 and August 26, 2019.  Investigators have found no evidence at this time that indicates that Bagwell had any physical contact with the victims.

Bagwell posted a bond of $17,100 on Friday, September 27 at approximately 6:20 p.m.

The case remains under investigation by the Hall County Sheriff’s Office.
