LAKE SIDNEY LANIER — The US Army Corps of Engineers announced on Wednesday that they will reopen all Corps of Engineers operated Day Use Parks on Lake Lanier with the exception of Buford Dam Park.  These parks will reopen on Saturday, May 23, 2020.  Restrooms will reopen at currently accessible areas as well.

Due to the continued concern for the public’s safety because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Corps of Engineers has chosen not to reopen beaches, shelters, playgrounds, and campgrounds at this time.

The US Army Corps of Engineers reminds everyone to practice social distancing and to avoid crowded parks and facilities.

The Corps of Engineers remains hard at work even though the Lanier Project Management Office is still closed to the public.  The Project Management Office can still be reached by phone. For additional information, please call 770-945-9531.
