Atlanta — The Silverton Foundation will hold its ninth annual Chip In For A Cause golf tournament Oct. 29 at the River Club in Suwanee.
Since its start in 2016, the fundraiser has helped hundreds of families with critically ill children by providing mortgage and rent assistance during times of hardship.
“We are passionate about this event — it’s a perfect blend of raising funds for a vital cause, enjoying the beautiful outdoors, and playing golf,” said Josh Moffitt, founder of The Silverton Foundation. “As an all-volunteer nonprofit, this fundraiser is crucial to achieving our mission and supporting families in need.”
This year’s tournament moves to the River Club, a Greg Norman–designed course along the Chattahoochee River known for its scenic layout and environmentally friendly design.
Entry includes breakfast, a boxed lunch, a gift bag and an awards reception. The first 50 registrants will receive a complimentary gift, and sponsorship opportunities are available.
The Silverton Foundation was established in 2012 by Moffitt, founder of Silverton Mortgage. The nonprofit’s mission is to ease financial and emotional stress for families of critically ill children by helping them stay in their homes throughout treatment and recovery.
Funding comes from Silverton Mortgage donations, fundraising events, employee contributions and community sponsors.
