Sugar Hill Church – COVID

UPDATE:

In an update provided to the North Gwinnett Voice by representatives of the partnership between Sugar Hill Church and the COVID Consortium, they wish to clarify that the testing at Sugar Hill Church is for the uninsured only and no payment is required.

In the future, testing will be provided every Tuesday and Thursday during the month of July from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. until further notice.

They recommend that participants register online, via Facebook, or by calling 855-498-8393 to set an appointment. Drive-ups without registration are welcome but could result in longer wait times than those who have set an appointment.

SUGAR HILL — With the number of positive cases of COVID-19 increasing once more, its crucial that anyone who suspects that they either have the virus or might have had it be tested.  Sugar Hill Church in partnership with The COVID Consortium are offering free polymerase chain reaction (PCR) tests and antibody tests for three days, Monday, June 29 through Wednesday, July 1.

The testing will be done as a drive-thru service in the church’s parking lot located at 5091 Nelson Brogdon Blvd. in Sugar Hill.  All testing is administered by medical professionals at a pop up site in the church’s parking lot.  It is estimated that the testing site will provide testing for approximately 500-600 people each day.  The tests are available to residents of Sugar Hill, as well as, surrounding areas.

For those who wish to be tested but do not have medical insurance, testing will be free thanks to the costs being picked up by a state testing program.

“The COVID Consortium is a consortium of labs and medical professionals providing recurrent on-site employee COVID testing, HR support services, and a testing certification program to help organizations protect their customers, employees and community as they remain open or reopen,” said a spokesperson for Sugar Hill Church and The COVID Consortium.
