The Harvest Gwinnett community gardens program is now accepting applications for 4-by-8 raised beds at several locations around Gwinnett County.

North Gwinnett residents can request a plot at E. E. Robinson Park Community Garden in Sugar Hill and the Peachtree Ridge Park Community Garden in Suwanee.

Each plot costs $35 for the year and plots are available on a first-come, first-served basis when payment is received. Fees include the use of land, utilities, shared tools, compost and mulch, if available. Once assigned, plots should be properly maintained within 30 days and continually maintained throughout the year.

Those who receive a plot are required to perform 12 hours of garden community service per year to maintain upkeep of the garden.
