Police seeking public’s help to identify suspect in connection with fraud in Buford

(Buford, Georgia) — Gwinnett Police need the public’s help in identifying a suspect related to identity theft, deposit account fraud, and forgery.  The suspect began depositing checks into a BB&T account in February 2019.  He would withdraw the money via the ATM.  Once the odd account activity was noticed, fraud investigators found the information was a combination of real information to make one fake identity.  The suspect has fraudulently obtained almost $5300.00.

The suspect is described as a black male, lighter complexion, medium build, 5’10” – 6’01” tall, receding hairline, and an unkempt beard.  He is possibly driving a 2011-2015 silver Audi A4.
