BUFORD — Thousands of people lined Buford streets to watch the annual Homecoming parade and show their Buford pride.  Young and old alike could be seen with smiles on their faces as they watched the parade go by. It was a sight to see both from a spectator’s point of view and from the point of view of a person in the parade.

This tradition has been taking place for as long as anyone can remember on the Friday afternoon of Homecoming week.  The parade was held on September 20 and began at the Buford Arena, went past the schools on Sawnee Avenue, and went the length of Main Street to South Lee Street.  The parade route and the actual parade itself was the longest in history.

It wouldn’t be Homecoming Friday without this much loved Buford tradition.
