Nebraska football gets big boost with Buford runningback Gabe Ervin

BUFORD — Rising Buford High School senior Gabe Ervin, Jr. announced on Tuesday in a live interview with Chad Simmons with rivals.com that he has decided to play for the Nebraska football program.  The Cornhuskers beat out Duke, Arizona State, Michigan State, and Georgia in landing the verbal commitment from the three-star running back.

Ervin helped his team, the Buford Wolves win the 2019 GHSA Class AAAAA State Championship title last December in Atlanta.  The 6-foot-1, 190-pound running back led the Buford offense in yards and carries with 1,210 yards on 179 carries.  Ervin would put up 12 touchdowns for his team this past season.
