SUGAR HILL — The Gwinnett County Police Department is seeking information leading to the identification of a burglary suspect wanted in connection with a string of businesses being broken into in Sugar Hill.

The suspect was captured on surveillance camera breaking into at least three businesses along Bailey Road in Sugar Hill on September 16 between the hours of midnight and 3 a.m.  The male suspect stole computer equipment, televisions, sports memorabilia, and food over the course of several hours.  He was even seen trying to make himself coffee but ultimately he failed.  Instead, he opted to steal a couple of coffee pods.

Police said that they think he may even have attempted to steal a 2006 Ford E-150 van located on the property as well.  The owner of the van found an object jammed into the ignition switch of the vehicle and a computer monitor that belonged to another business that operated at the 5000 Bailey Avenue address.

Officers recovered part of the stolen property after it was discovered behind some power boxes located on Bailey Avenue.

The owner of one of the businesses took to social media in the afternoon of September 16 to offer a reward for information about the burglary suspect.  The North Gwinnett Voice shared his post on Facebook on September 17 and mentioned the burglary again in their article titled “Crime on the rise along one Sugar Hill road.”
