On November 20, 2018, Gwinnett County Police responded to a call from a man who stated that he had just been robbed.  At just before 4 a.m., police officers arrived at the Quiktrip at 4080 Buford Drive in Buford, where officers located the caller. The 24-year-old male told the officers that the robbery actually occurred at the Racetrac located at 4930 Nelson Brogdon Boulevard in Sugar Hill.

The victim stated he was getting out of his car at the Sugar Hill convenience store when a white male exited a white 1990’s model Toyota car with loud exhaust.  The white male demanded the victim hand over his money, keys, and wallet at knifepoint. The victim gave the suspect the items and fled down the street where he was able to get a stranger to take him to 4080 Buford Drive.

The white male was described to police as wearing a black jacket, blue jeans, and white shoes.  The victim said the suspect had brown or blond hair and was approximately 5’10”-5’11” tall with no facial hair.  The victim said the knife that the suspect had was a small pocket knife.

Police officers asked the victim if the suspect was alone in the car or if there was someone else with him.  The victim said that there was a dark haired female in the car as well. He said that the female never exited the car nor did she speak during the robbery.

No suspect has been located and the case remains under investigation.  If anyone has any information in this case, they are urged to call Gwinnett County PD.
