Joyce Yingling Buchanan, age 68, of Flowery Branch, GA passed away Wednesday, March 27, 2019. She is survived by her husband of fifty years, Charles “Buck” Buchanan, Flowery Branch; son and daughter-in-law, Jason “Buck” and Melissa Reedy Buchanan, Sugar Hill, GA; grandchildren, Brooks Lee Buchanan and Reed James Buchanan; brothers-in-law and sister-in-law, Bill and Sandy Dean, Toccoa, GA, and Harold “Fess” Dean, Blue Ridge, GA; sister-in-law, Sarah Dean Breedlove, Monroe, GA; and nieces, nephews, and cousins. Mrs. Buchanan was born on August 4, 1950, in Baltimore, Maryland. She was a 1968 graduate of Dundalk High School in Dundalk, MD, attended Dekalb Junior College and Georgia State University. Mrs. Buchanan was a retired Registrar from Jones Middle School and the Gwinnett County Public School System. She was a member of Buford Presbyterian Church in Sugar Hill, GA. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, March 30, 2019, at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Rev. Jane Brooks officiating. Inurnment will be at GA National Cemetery in Canton, GA. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 30 at the funeral home.
