Investigators seeking new information in the 2019 death of a Hall County woman

GAINESVILLE —The Hall County Sheriff’s Office is seeking additional information in the death of a Gainesville woman that happened in 2019.

On Tuesday, October 1, 2019, at approximately 1 a.m. firefighters from Hall County along with Hall County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a mobile home fire call off of Lee Land Road in Gainesville.

The body of a resident, Brenda Kaye Autry, age 59 was found inside of the burned mobile home. The medical examiner was unable to determine the cause of death for Ms. Autry.  The Hall County Fire Marshal’s Office could not determine the cause of the mobile home fire either.

Fire investigators turned the case back over to the Sheriff’s Office.  Sheriff’s Office investigators thoroughly combed through the fire scene, as well as, conducted numerous interviews and consulted with medical experts on the available evidence.  Investigators are hoping that someone will come forward with information that will shed some light on the manner of Ms. Autry’s death.
