Gwinnett police: Suspect in double homicide arrested after attempting to cross border

A suspect in a double homicide that took place March 26 in Flowery Branch has been arrested, the Gwinnett County Police Department announced.

William Jerome Adams was arrested in Texas earlier this week after attempting to cross the border into Mexico. He will be subject to extradition back to Georgia to face prosecution.

The victims in the case have been identified as Mary Lindsay, 39, and her son, Atif Muhammad, 16.

Police believe Adams was in a relationship with the mother. She and her son were killed inside a residence on Apple Grove Road.
