Gwinnett police seek help identifying driver in hit-and-run accident that left Buford motorcyclist seriously injured

The Gwinnett County Police Accident Investigation Unit is looking for information on a hit and run that took place on Hamilton Mill Road that left a 28-year-old Buford man who was riding his motorcycle with serious injuries.

According to investigators, at approximately 3:15 p.m. July 3, 2022, Brandon Hollister Sousa was traveling on his motorcycle down Hamilton Mill Road near the intersection with Hamilton Mill Lane when he was hit by a silver Chevrolet Traverse LS. The impact caused Sousa to leave the roadway and run into a culvert, which resulting in serious injuries. The driver of the Chevrolet Traverse did not stop after hitting Sousa.

Police are now looking to identify the driver of the Chevrolet Traverse, and they are asking for the public’s help.
