This past week the Greater Buford Athletic Association Girls Rec All-Stars played in the Quest for the Best softball tournament in Dacula, GA. Each year GBAA uses this tournament as a warm-up for the upcoming All-Star season. This year’s results are:

The 10u team is coached by Jason Sartain. His Lady Wolves had 5 wins and 2 losses. After hitting the loser bracket after their second game with a loss to the Mill Creek Golden Power, they battled through but couldn’t quite make it to the Championship. They were put out in the Semifinal game with a loss of 8-2 to the Mill Creek Navy Hawks. Congratulations to the 10U Lady Wolves on a 3rd place finish.

The Green 8u team is coached by Stephen Fountain. His Lady Wolves had 4 wins and 2 losses. After hitting the loser bracket after their first game with a loss to Mountain Park, they battled through but fell shy of making it to the championship. In their 6th game of the day, the girls lost steam and were put out with a loss of 11-4 to North Gwinnett. Congratulations to the 8u Green Lady Wolves on a 4th place finish.

The White 8u team is coached by Joel Parent. His Lady Wolves had 5 wins and 1 loss. After a heartbreaking loss against the Mill Creek Savage Hawks, the White Lady Wolves battled back in the semi-final game against Mill Creek with an 11-4 win. Congratulations to all of the girls and coaches on a tournament well done. As you can see by these results, it looks like this is shaping up to be an awesome All-Star season for the girls who play for GBAA. All I can say is look out the Buford Train is rolling through. I cannot wait to see the results of this week’s Pre Tri-County tournament. All of these girls will be playing for trophies this week at Shorty Howell Park in Duluth, GA. Go Lady Wolves!
