GAINESVILLE — A 26-year-old Gainesville woman is facing charges in the deaths of her two children, according to the Hall County Sheriff’s Office.
Bernice Jaramillo-Hernandez is accused of killing 5-year-old Mateo Miranda Jaramillo and 6-year-old Katherine Miranda Jaramillo with a knife and then turning the weapon on herself. The deaths occurred between noon and 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 11 at the family’s Crescent Drive home.
Jaramillo-Hernandez is facing two counts each of felony murder, malice murder and aggravated assault, and the case remains under investigation.
