Denise Rumbaugh announces campaign for Georgia House District 100

Email :
BUFORD — Denise Rumbaugh, a 19-year Gwinnett County resident and longtime community volunteer, has announced her candidacy for Georgia House District 100.
A wife, mother and grandmother, Rumbaugh said she’s running to give back to the community she’s called home for nearly two decades. Her campaign focuses on three priorities: school and community safety, phasing out Georgia’s state income tax, and expanding access to veterans’ health care.
“Students are afraid to walk the halls or even ride the bus,” Rumbaugh said. “When problems are ignored in schools, they spill into neighborhoods. I believe in building up our youth and giving them a voice.”
Rumbaugh, who serves as chairwoman of the Gwinnett County Zoning Board of Appeals and on multiple county and school committees, said she believes in local control supported by a responsible state framework.
“At the end of the day, I’m no different from the people I hope to represent,” she said. “I’ve raised my family, worked and volunteered here. I want Georgia to remain a safe, affordable place to raise a family — and for our children to build their future.”
