Coronavirus impacts local businesses; closures and shorter operating hours becoming more widespread

The global pandemic caused by COVID-19 is affecting the way we all go about our daily lives.  As governments have closed schools and issued social distancing orders, businesses have had to adapt to the guidelines sent out to them and the public.  Some areas of the country have issued curfews and demanded that all non-essential businesses close for the new few weeks to try to help curb the spread of the coronavirus in the wake of the rapidly increasing number of confirmed cases in the U.S.

National chain stores and restaurants, as well as, small local businesses have decided to either change the way they operate, shortened business hours, or they have temporarily closed altogether.  Americans are urged to not leave their homes if they do not absolutely have to but if one needs to get out, they should either call ahead or check websites to see if the place they intend to visit is open.
