BUFORD – The Buford Wolves softball team made Senior Night one to remember Tuesday, defeating Mountain View 16–0 in three innings at the Buford Softball Complex.

The evening highlighted the strength and leadership of Buford’s Class of 2026, as the seniors led the Wolves in every aspect of the game.

Senior pitcher Caroline Stanton earned her 11th win of the season with a dominant performance in the circle. She threw three innings, allowing only one hit and striking out eight of the ten batters she faced without a walk.

At the plate, senior Summer Castorri set the tone early with a two-run home run to left field in the first inning. Castorri finished 3-for-3 with a home run, triple, double, four RBIs and three runs scored. Senior Addie Rackley added three hits, including two doubles, with two RBIs and one run scored.

Buford extended its lead in the second inning before breaking the game open with 11 runs in the third. Senior Kadyn Gabrels ended the game with a two-run home run, her eighth of the season. Freshman LG Goldin also homered — her seventh of the year — finishing 2-for-3 with two RBIs and two runs scored.

The Wolves totaled 19 hits in the game, 11 of them for extra bases, and played error-free defense behind Stanton.

The win marked a fitting celebration for Buford’s senior class, who combined their power, consistency and experience to lead the Wolves to victory.
