The Wolves will host Jones County for the scrimmage game on Aug. 11.

Buford will open their season at home against St. Frances Academy from Maryland on Aug. 18. This will be the first time these two powerhouse teams will face one another. St. Frances Academy finished their 2022 season ranked No. 8 by MaxPreps and had a 9-1 overall record. Buford finished their season ranked No. 33 by MaxPreps and ended with an 11-1 overall season record in 2022. Between the two teams, they sport 10 MaxPreps All-American players. St. Frances has only played one other Georgia team and that came in 2018 when they beat Lee County 43-14.

The Buford and St. Frances Academy match up was set up by Prep Gridiron Logistics and will be streamed on FloFootball.

The Wolves will travel out-of-state for their next game on Aug. 25. Buford will play Mallard Creek (N.C.) on Mallard Creek’s home turf in their second meeting. Last season, Buford thoroughly defeated Mallard Creek with a score of 56-7.

Buford remains on the road for their next game on Sept. 1 as they take on North Cobb. This will be the third meeting of these teams. Buford is up 2-1 on North Cobb but they are neck-and-neck on the points with Buford at 70 and North Cobb at 69.

On Sept. 8, Buford will have a bye week. They return to Tom Riden Stadium on Sept. 15 to host Carver-Atlanta. The Wolves beat Carver last season 44-16.

Marietta will travel to Buford on Sept. 22 for a non-region game. Buford traveled to Marietta last season where they pulled off a 14-0 shutout.

The Wolves begin Region 8-AAAAAAA play on Sept. 29 on the road at Collins Hill. In 2022, Buford defeated Collins Hill at home 23-3. Oct. 6 will be another bye week for Buford.

On Oct. 13, Buford will play State Champion Mill Creek at Mill Creek. Last season, Buford held on to win the highly anticipated game against Mill Creek before a record breaking crowd at Tom Riden Stadium. Close to 12,000 spectators showed up to witness Buford win 39-27 over Mill Creek.

The Wolves will play familiar foe Dacula at Dacula on Oct. 20 in another region match up. In 2022, Buford defeated Dacula 50-7.

Buford finally returns home on Oct. 27 as they play Mountain View in their next to last regular season game of the 2023 season. Last season, the Wolves bested the Bears 56-7.

The last regular season game for 2023 will be at home against Central Gwinnett. Buford beat Central Gwinnett in 2022 on the road 49-7.

Buford’s toughest two games will be between them and St. Frances Academy, as well as Mill Creek. Buford should have plenty of talent to throw at these two top notch programs. These games should make for some nail-biting, intense competition.
