Buford High School places third in state one act play competition

The GHSA AAAAAA State One Act Play competition was held Saturday, Nov. 13, at Denmark High School in Alpharetta. One school from each of Georgia’s eight regions presented 55-minute cut drama productions of their choice.

The winning team from GHSA’s Region 8-AAAAAA was Buford High School, which presented “Little Women.”

The defending state champs from Buford High School finished third behind second place Evans High School (“The Diviners”) and Houston County High School (“A Chorus Line”). Fourth place was awarded to Dalton High School (“Into the Woods”).

BHS senior Sydney Holton (Meg March) and Jenna Gubran (Aunt March) were named to the All Star Cast, while junior Mara Eva Cline (Jo March) was named Best Actress.
