Advancing three different levels since the beginning of this school year, Jeffrey Batan Vargas has excelled in the area of reading. With these outstanding accomplishments, Jeffrey, a Buford Academy third grader, has been chosen as the Reader of the Week for Buford City Schools!
“He thinks the pictures are cool and the stories are funny,” Lana Nix, media specialist at Buford Academy, said of Jeffrey, who she added is also quite the storyteller himself.
Jeffrey’s teachers are Mrs. Schmid and Dr. Kist.
“Jeffrey has found a love of reading this year,” Mrs. Schmid said. “He has enjoyed the adventures reading takes him on. I am overjoyed to see Jeffrey excited about reading!”
Outside of school, Jeffrey likes to ride his bike and play football with his friends.
Jeffrey’s parents are Lesvia and Marvin, and Jeffrey has an older brother, Dylan, who is in sixth grade, and an older sister, who is 22.
