Ansley Posey is the Buford Senior Academy Reader of the Week.

Meet Ansley Posey, the Buford Senior Academy Reader of the Week. Ansley is in the 5th grade at BSA, and is taught by Ms. Heather Glenn, Mr. Gabriel Novalis, and Ms. Allie Sullins. Ansley is a fantastic student and leader. She always has a smile on her face and works very hard to be a great student. Mrs. Sarah Blankenship, Media Specialist, shares why Ansley was selected to be Reader of the Week, saying, “She enjoys reading and is celebrated for being a member of the Million Word Club at BSA! Ansley has already read over 2,000,000 words this school year!”

Ansley loves to read fantasy novels, especially anything written by JK Rowling, her favorite author. Ansley shares, “She is my favorite because she worked very hard to be an author in hard times and made magical books.” The Harry Potter series is her absolute favorite because it is full of adventure and mystery. Ansley loves all of the cool objects and characters featured in the books.

Outside of reading, Ansley partakes in multiple activities. “I love to do sports such as volleyball, basketball, and soccer,” Ansley says. “ I am artistic and I love to help people.” Ansley enjoys eating biscuits and fried chicken, her favorite foods. She has a dog named Bo and loves to hike and go on walks with her family.

Keep up the good work, Ansley! Go Wolves!

The media specialists at the Buford Senior Academy and Buford Academy select the Buford City Schools Reader of the Week.  Buford students grades first through fifth have a chance at being named the Reader of the Week. In addition to appearing online and in print, the Reader of the Week receives a voucher to Stars and Strikes for all of their hard work.
