Buford — On Wednesday night, April 24, 2019, the Buford Wolves hosted Arabia Mountain in the first round of the GHSA State AAAAA Baseball playoffs. The Wolves dominated the Rams in the double-header.
In game one, Buford beat Arabia Mtn. 13-3 over the course of five innings. Buford shutout Arabia in the second game with a score of 16-0.
Offensively, Riley Stanford had a great day at the plate for Buford going 6-for-7. That included 5 RBIs and a home run.
Buford’s pitchers stepped up and delivered solid performances against Arabia Mountain.
The Wolves will travel to Kell High School in Marietta next Thursday, May 2 for a doubleheader in the second round of playoffs.
