Vocal Talent Aplenty Showcased at Fine Arts Center

The Daisy Shadburn Auditorium inside the Buford City Schools Fine Arts Center hosted two nights filled with great performances entitled A Few of My Favorite Scenes.  The production celebrated twenty years of performances by the Buford Middle School Chorus Department on Monday and Tuesday, March 26th and 27th.

Divided into two acts, Act I included songs from Beauty and the Beast, Willy Wonka, Singing in the Rain, The Mikado, Sound of Music, Sesame Street, The King and I, and American Bandstand. Act II consisted of songs from favorites including Fiddler on the Roof, Oklahoma!, Music Man, Mulan, School House Rock, High School Musical, and Annie. Each Act was comprised of 6th, 7th, and 8th grade chorus students as well as solo and small group performances where these students got to showcase their talents.

The performances put on by the BMS Chorus captivated the audience each night.  The future of Buford’s strong choral tradition looks bright indeed.
