A Decade of Excellence: BHS Literary Team Wins 10th Consecutive State Championship

After winning the Region 8-AAAAA Literary Competition two weeks prior, the BHS Literary team arrived at Buford High School on March 17th, 2018, ready to take on the State Championship. Five events competed, each placing earning the team more points as they climbed the leaderboard, ultimately winning the championship with a grand total of 27 overall points. All Buford participants performed exceptionally, with several winning first in their individual competition. Madison McManners placed 4th in the Personal Essay competition and Hope Fowler placed earned silver in Girl’s Solo. The following students earned 1st Place in their respective categories: Jesse Hanks in Boys’ Solo, Keighly Brown, Hope Fowler, and Hanna Hopper in Girls’ Trio, and Quinn Conrath, Trevor Dodge, Jesse Hanks, and Jonathan Ingram in Boys’ Quartet. This marks the tenth consecutive State Championship for the BHS Literary Team. Go Wolves!
